Description
The Berger Hunting bullet line features Very Low Drag (VLD) bullets that have a high ballistic coefficient, designed for ranges of 300 yards or more. The VLD design incorporates a sharp nose, enabling the bullet to penetrate 2-3 inches before beginning to expand. After this initial expansion, the bullet sheds between 40% and 85% of its weight as shrapnel into the surrounding tissue. The combination of the shrapnel and hydrostatic shock produces a large wound cavity within the vital area, measuring 13-15 inches in length.
